Web Cam/Video Help

All of our live web cams, videos and panoramas may be viewed from either a PC or Mac computer.

Web Cams

To watch our live web cams you’ll need the free Windows Media Player for Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X.

Videos

To watch our videos you’ll need one of the following free players, depending on format:

Adobe Flash Player
Windows Media Player for Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X
QuickTime player

Our photo panoramas require the free QuickTime player.

Troubleshooting Help

If the web cam or video plays, but there are pauses (buffering), you’re either experiencing network congestion or exceeding your bandwidth. A minimum connection speed of 250 kbps is required.

If you are still encountering problems, ensure your browser and the plug-in (Windows Media Player) are able to work together by following these steps:

If you’re using the Internet Explorer browser and are not able to view the cams, check to see if there is a message just above the web page with a blue shield asking if you want to to run Active X Controls. Click on this message and select “Run ActiveX Control.” A window will open. Select the “Run” button. If this doesn’t work, proceed to the next step.
Install the current Windows Media Player for Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X, depending on your equipment. If this doesn’t work, proceed to the next step.
Uninstall your current Windows Media Player Plug-in and reinstall the latest version from Microsoft and test to see if this works. If this doesn’t work, proceed to the next step.
Install a different browser from the one you are currently using (e.g., Firefox, Internet Explorer) and then install the latest Windows Media Player.

This site is best viewed with Internet Explorer. (Please note: when using Internet Explorer Version 8, you may need to view our site in “Compatibility View” in order for the pages to display properly. Go to Tools→Compatibility View.)
