Sept 2009: Success for the Sea Otter Tax Fund
1. Past Actions
Thanks to the generosity of California taxpayers like you, the California Sea Otter Fund will continue for 2010.
A total of $262,500 had to be donated this year in order for the fund to continue. The California Franchise Tax Board confirmed that the target will be met by year end, ensuring that the tax check-off will appear on California income tax forms next year.
These funds are important in the ongoing efforts to establish just what is killing California's sea otters—before it’s too late.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped keep this important initiative alive for another year!
