About the Program
Are you interested in the conservation issues that impact our ocean? In response to feedback from our recent teacher survey, we've created an exciting new Teacher Conservation Series that allows more participants to attend. It will be held on four Saturdays during the school year. (We won't have any Tuesday evening sessions.)
As teachers, you influence our world through your work with students and your examples as community leaders. Join us to learn about conservation methods and science research that helps preserve our earth.
Each Saturday A.C.T. session is focused on a different conservation theme. Listen to a respected speaker and "Analyze" issues and opportunities facing our planet. Participate in field experiences where you'll learn how to "Conserve." Engage in classroom activities that enable you to "Teach" that conservation topic to your students.
- Appropriate for teachers of grades preschool through high school.
- Priority registration is open through September 11, 2009 for those attending all four sessions.
- Registration for individual dates is on a first-come, first-served basis and opens September 12, 2009 or until our maximum number or deadline is reached.
Fee: None
Schedule: 9 a.m-4:30 p.m.
