Restaurant Program
Join the Seafood Watch Restaurant Program to play a role in protecting the health of the oceans. Your commitment will help:
- Ensure a bounty of seafood for this and future generations.
- Support environmentally responsible fishing and fish farming.
- Increase the demand for ocean friendly seafood.
- Give species that are in peril a break so that they may recover.
Participating restaurants pledge to not serve items from the Seafood Watch "Avoid" list and train wait staff about their seafood choices. Seafood Watch assists you in these efforts, providing materials, answering questions and helping with staff training. The program is open to any Monterey Bay area restaurant that serves seafood, as well as past participants in our annual Cooking for Solutions event.
Your participation will be recognized in our media and promotions, including links to and from our respective websites. You'll also receive a plaque to post at your establishment that identifies you as a Seafood Watch Restaurant Program participant.
If you're interested in joining the Seafood Watch Restaurant Program, please e-mail us or call (831) 647-6871.
